Description
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
of 1996 ("HIPPA")
HIPPA restricts the disclosure and requires the protection
of "Individually identifiable health information"
in the hands of "Covered entities" and,
indirectly, in the hands of their "Business associates".
